If you're new to this activity, you'll learn that we "take a walk" every Thursday morning year-round (weather-permitting), except for a couple of weeks before and after Christmas.
Our 1 to 1 & 1/2 hour walks generally depart at 9:00 a.m. from a variety of attractive locations - from Lake Country in the north to Peachland in the south.
Registration reminder: We've turned 'on' the registration button to help us collect contact information, to comply with COVID19 follow-ups, if necessary. Registration is solely for the purpose of creating an attendance list with contact detail. If you register but find yourself unable to attend, please cancel your registration using this system.

KALAMOIR REGIONAL PARK - WEST KELOWNA
Kalamoir Regional Park is a lovely lakeside park in West Kelowna. Our route will take us from the *main parking lot*, up and along the top portion of the park, then down and along the lake. The Arrowleaf Balsamroot and other early wildflowers should be in full bloom. Views throughout the hike, over the lake and toward Kelowna are extraordinary. Please note that we will be parking in the main park parking lot (as per the below directions) and this lot can be busy. If you are comfortable arranging a carpool with walking buddies, please do so.

From Orchard Park Shopping Centre:

Turn left onto Harvey Ave/Okanagan Hwy/BC-97 S

Continue to follow Okanagan Hwy/BC-97 S from 10 min - 8.7 km, over the William Bennett Bridge

Use the left lane to turn left onto Boucherie Rd - 120 m

Turn left onto Hayman Rd - 1.4 km

Turn left onto Stuart Rd - 210 m

Turn right onto Thacker Dr - 1.1 km

Enter and park in the Kalamoir Regional Park parking lot, Collens Hill Rd, West Kelowna, CB V1Z 1X5

Difficulty: Easy
Kalamoir Regional Park Trail Loop is a 4.8 km, 101m elevation gain, lightly trafficked loop trail located near West Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada that offers scenic views over the lake, towards the City of Kelowna. There is some elevation gain in the first portion of the hike, however the trail, though narrow at times, is not steep. Please feel free to bring walking sticks to assist with balance, if desired.
