  • Under Maps and Brochures is a snowshoe map to print. You can also download the snowshoe map to the AVENZA MAP app for your phone.
  • Silver Star is accessed by turning off Highway 97 onto 48th Avenue in Vernon. Continue up 48th and it will turn into Silver Star Road. The park is 22 kilometres up Silver Star Road. The parking lot/entrance are to the Right, BEFORE going into Sovereign Lake Nordic Park. Meet up near the map kiosk.

NOTE: If we see the group is too big when we meet, there is an opportunity to split the group in two. The first group will enjoy a shorter distance, at a slower pace and the 2nd group will experience a longer trail at a faster pace. This decision will always be made on the day of the event.

IMPORTANT – If you register and can’t attend, please cancel your registration and send an email reply to the organizer (the email confirmation you receive). We don’t want to waste everyone’s time waiting for someone who doesn’t show up.

WEATHER CONDITIONS MUST BE RESPECTED!

We strive to give you as much notice as possible if weather conditions will prevent us from attending a days event. Sometimes, it simply is not possible. It is good practise to check the KNC website and your emails before leaving home on the morning of the event. Remember it’s not just in Kelowna we need to be concerned about, but also the area we maybe travelling to that day.

Let’s have fun and stay safe!

Mary & Mary Ann

Registrations will be accepted, starting December 10th

PROVINCIAL REGULATION UPDATE Regarding Covid Safety Rules

The B.C. Government’s website states there are no sports restrictions at this time. Having said that, this is flu season and covid is still an issue. If you have any symptoms please do not attend the event. This especially applies if you are considering car pooling!

  • Respect the rules of the club we’re attending- if cabins are off limits please do not enter.
  • Where possible, avoid using cash- tap cards are preferable. That being said, some parks only accept cash for day use of the trails.
  • If lodges/cabins are closed, please respect the park and don’t enter.
